Good vibrations?
We get loads of Spam. Even after the best efforts of all our Spam filters, Firewalls and other armouries of software designed to keep low life spawned junk off our PC work platforms. However one message caught my eye today and it looked safe enough to open. In the event I was right and it was safe. It also made quite interesting reading.
I have ‘copied and pasted’ part of the content here for you all to read. It concerns movement or ‘inertia’ operated, self charging batteries.
Remember self-winding watches? Instead of winding them up, they used energy from normal wrist movement, or — at worst — you had to give them a shake. What if you could replace standard AA batteries using the same principle? Although still in its infancy, developers contend that a good shake could power 10-30 button-pushes on a TV remote control.
I guess one has to grasp something containing one of these fiendish little devices and give it a couple of score or more vigorous up and down motions to achieve a full charge (I said charge madam, not discharge!).
Should make all the 'strap-hangers' on the 6:15 into Cockfosters on a Friday night look fascinating.
Come to think about it I do know one or two blokes that I’m sure would be very adept at the process.
I’ve finished jerking now.
For the day anyway.
